Don’t forget that this Sunday morning, our class will be going to the College worship service at 9:30 (in the FLC) and having Sunday School at 10:45. It will be a fun chance to support our college ministry. Adam will be preaching the same sermon as in “Big Church”, only with slightly more contemporary music.
Our class’ Ladies Book Club kicks off with its first meeting on April 8. They will be reading “Don’t Make Me Count to Three” by Ginger Plowman. Read the through chapter 4 by the first meeting.
If you have any questions or want more information, talk to Becca.
This Sunday is the start of a special week within our WITNESS focus. Wednesday through Sunday, Red Bank Baptist is hosting Dennis Nunn, who will be leading us through “Every Believer a Witness.” We will also be having a special day at Sunday School.
Session 1 of “Every Believer a Witness” is during the Sunday morning service. Sessions 2-5 will be Sunday through Wednesday nights. If you want more information on what these sessions will be, click here.
A few people have asked for the website I mentioned in class a couple weeks ago. It is BibleGateway.com.
This site lets you look up Bible verses in 20 different English translations, and translations in 41 other languages. It has helped me get a better perspective on verses by reading them in different translations. And if I ever need to share a verse with someone who speaks Swahili or Icelandic, I know where to go.
As always, check into the validity of any translation you use. Not all versions of the Bible are created equal.
It is time again for our Sunday School tradition: Ladies Lunch. The latest edition is brought to you by the letter “F” and will be taking place on Thursday, February 18 at noon at Firehouse Subs in Red Bank.
The WITNESS Series is rolling on at Red Bank Baptist Church. Last Sunday was Week #2; the theme was “I” for “Invite.” Skip’s Sunday School lesson came from John 1:35-51 and the Sermon came from John 4:28-42.
This Sunday is the “E” in WITNESS, Encouraging. Come ready to talk about ways that you’ve been encouraged & the ways you have encouraged others.
