Ladies Lunch

There will be a Ladies Lunch this Tuesday, June 30 at Noon at the Hixson Panera.  If you are a lady, you don’t want to miss this lunch.  If you are a guy, you probably do want to miss it, so I recommend eating at Krystal instead.

Shower Madness

If April showers bring May flowers, get ready for some blooms, because the first weekend in April is shower madness. 

On Saturday, April 4 there is a bridal shower for Megan Carder at 2:00 in the Student Center.  And the shower fun continues 24 hours later with a baby shower for Heather Kleiner at 2:00 pm on Sunday.  Heather’s shower is upstairs in the Student Center.

Megan is registered at Target, Belk, and Bed Bath & Beyond.  Heather is registered at Toys R Us/ Babies R Us.

MAN DAY Rescheduled

Come to Sunday School this week for the offical details on the rescheduling of MAN DAY!

Wii Love Missions Info

Our Sunday School Class is hosting a Nintendo Wii tournament to raise money for missions. It is being held March 21 in the Red Bank Baptist Student Center.

Sandwich Social

The first ever Sandwich Social is Sunday March 8, right after the 10:45 service.

What is a Sandwich Social?  It is a low key class get together, where you bring your own food.  (You can bring a sandwich, but I would recommend bringing something from Krystal.)  It is a chance to get together & hang out as a class.

This Sunday’s Sandwich Social will take place at Skip & Kelley’s house.

Wii Love Missions

The inaugural “Wii Love Missions “ Nintendo Wii tournament is less than one month away.  It will be taking place on Saturday afternoon, March 21.

What We’re Up To in 2009

A few weeks ago, we had a brainstorming lunch to come up with activities we want to do this year. All that planning is close to coming to fruition, but first, a little more planning.

It seems that activities don’t run themselves, so we need some folks to head up each of the things we decided to do.

Here is a list of all the activities we decided on. We are looking to have 2 people in charge of each activity. People who have already volunteered are listed next to each activity. If there is a blank, we need another leader for that. Claim your position of authority by leaving a comment on this post. If you want to lead something that has already been claimed, that’s ok. I am sure that none of these leaders will complain about more help.

Luncheon/ Baby Shower for Stephanie

Matt & Stephanie are expecting a new baby boy & the ladies of our class are getting together to celebrate.  A luncheon/ shower is being held on Saturday, February 21 at 11:45 at the O’Charley’s in Hixson.  They can use diapers & wipes, or you can get something off their registry at Wal-Mart.

Welcome back Richard Rea

We will be welcoming Richard Rea back to teach our class on Sunday, January 25. 

If you know Richard, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to visit with him, and hear him teach.

If you don’t know Richard, he was our teacher before Carter and Phil.  He left our class to go to seminary after God called him into the ministry.

Since you can never have enough of the Reas, everyone is invited to have dinner with them Friday night at 6:00.  We will be eating at the Hixson Rib & Loin.

Brainstorming Lunch

We will be having a Brainstorming Lunch on Sunday, January 18.  Come join us for pizza & a time of planning our class activities for the year.

We will be having a free pizza & salad lunch in our classroom right after the 10:45 service.
