The Great Sunday School Flip

Don’t forget that this Sunday morning, our class will be going to the College worship service at 9:30 (in the FLC) and having Sunday School at 10:45. It will be a fun chance to support our college ministry. Adam will be preaching the same sermon as in “Big Church”, only with slightly more contemporary music.

Bible Gateway

A few people have asked for the website I mentioned in class a couple weeks ago.  It is

This site lets you look up Bible verses in 20 different English translations, and translations in 41 other languages.  It has helped me get a better perspective on verses by reading them in different translations.  And if I ever need to share a verse with someone who speaks Swahili or Icelandic, I know where to go.

As always, check into the validity of any translation you use.  Not all versions of the Bible are created equal.

Sunday was the start of Red Bank Baptist’s WITNESS focus. This is an eight-week series, with the theme of the Sunday School lesson matching Dr. Dooley’s Sermon each week.

The first week’s theme was “W” for Worshiping. The Sunday School lesson came from Romans 12:1-2. The sermon came from Acts 16:16-34.

The sermon started with a powerful video from Atheist, Penn Jillette. You can watch it below; and as always, you can get the full sermon here.

Sunday School Super Bowl Party

Here are the details on our class Super Bowl party, from Kelley’s e-mail.

Just a reminder that this Sunday Feb. 7th the evening worship service will be replaced with in home Super Bowl Parties.  This is a wonderful outreach opportunity for our class.  What better way to reach others than through football and food!!!!   Our Sunday School class will be meeting at the Baldridge house at 6:00pm.  In Sunday School we discussed providing child care at the Bingham’s house across the street from the Baldridge’s.  We have lined up a couple of college students to keep our children.  If you will need childcare and have not signed up, please email to ensure we have enough college students per children.  If you have invited guests that have children, please check to see if they will need childcare as well.  Our thoughts were each family could chip in some money to pay our sweet college students for allowing us to have a relaxing evening.

A sign up sheet for food was passed around Sunday.  If you are planning on attending and did not have a chance to sign up you can email what you would like to contribute.  Below is the list.

Appetizers: Smoked Sausage-Baldridge

Pizza Rolls-Hammontree

Cheese Bread(Brazilian Style!!)-Kleiner

Chicken Fingers-Rimback

Dips: Queso-Baldridge

Rotel w/Velveeta-Baldridge

Corn Dip-Bingham

Chips: Bingham

Desserts: Cookies-Hammontree

Drinks: Tea-Rimback

Paper goods and silverware will be provided by the Baldridge’s.

Ministry Opportunity

Here is a ministry opportunity, e-mailed from Amy.

We need your HELP! The college women’s retreat is this weekend and 90 GIRLS have signed up to attend! They have food provided but they need drinks! We need big cans of Lemonade mix and lots of milk and OJ. Drop off donations at the FLC by Friday at noon and label it “CRU”. Let me know what you are bringing so we can make sure… to have enough! If you just want to donate money, I can go to the store for you!
